What a nicotine pouch is
A nicotine pouch is a small white sachet, roughly the size of a piece of chewing gum, filled with plant fibre, nicotine, water, flavouring and a little salt or sweetener. There is no tobacco leaf in it. You place it under your top lip, the nicotine passes through the lining of your gum, and after 20 to 60 minutes you take it out and bin it. Nicotine pouch formats
Format is the size and cut of the pouch itself. It changes how a pouch feels under your lip more than flavour does, and it changes how quickly the nicotine arrives.

Most big brands sell the same flavour in two or three formats, so if a pouch feels too bulky or too feeble the fix is often a different cut rather than a different strength.
How to choose a nicotine pouch

A 6mg mini and a 6mg slim contain the same nicotine, but the slim usually feels stronger because more of the pouch sits on the gum and it stays wet for longer. If a slim feels like too much, try the same strength as a mini before dropping the milligrams. If a mini feels like nothing, go slim before going up a band.
