Cola nicotine pouches

A small, opinionated family. Every cola and cherry cola tin we stock, why people either love or hate them, and which strength to pick.

Quick answer: Cola pouches taste like flat cola sweets rather than a cold drink, and that is why they divide opinion. Pablo Gold Edition Cola at 17mg and Killa Cola at 16.5mg are the tins most people buy, Snooze Cola at 4mg and 77 Cola & Vanilla at 5.2mg are the gentle options, and cherry cola from Killa and Pablo is the sweeter spin. Around a dozen cola tins exist in the UK and most are extra strong.

Cola sits in the beverage corner of the flavours hub alongside coffee pouches. It is a small family, but it has one of the most loyal followings of any flavour, and it is the one we get the most "is this actually any good?" questions about.

What cola pouches taste like

The honest answer is that a cola pouch tastes like a cola bottle sweet. The caramel, the faint spice, the citrus edge are all there. What is missing is the fizz and the cold, and that is what catches people out. If you expect a glass of cola you will be disappointed. If you expect a cola sweet that lasts 20 minutes, you will probably be pleased.

Within the family there are three styles.

  • Straight cola. Pablo Gold Edition Cola 17mg and Pablo Exclusive Cola 50mg are the richest, with a dark, almost treacly caramel. Killa Cola 16.5mg is sharper and lighter. CUBA Cola 16mg sits between the two. Snooze Cola 4mg is a gentler, thinner version.
  • Cherry cola. Killa Exclusive Cherry Cola 16.5mg, Pablo Cherry Cola Exclusive 50mg and Glitch Frozen Cherry Cola 16mg, which adds cooling. Sweeter and fruitier, and the easier entry for someone coming from berry pouches.
  • Cola twists. 77 Cola & Vanilla 5.2mg is soft and creamy, 77 Cola Ice 10.4mg is cold, XQS Cola Lime 8mg is sharp and fizzy-tasting, and Maggie Jamaican Kola 16mg is a spiced, less sweet take.

How cola pouches are made

Every tin here is tobacco-free, built on plant fibre, nicotine, water, pH adjusters and sweetener. The cola flavour is a food-grade blend of caramel, citrus and spice notes, the same family of flavourings used in cola sweets and syrups. There is no caffeine in a cola nicotine pouch unless the tin says so, and none of the tins on this page do.

Cola needs sweetener to work, which makes these some of the sweeter pouches on the shelf. The "ice" and "frozen" versions add a cooling agent, which does a decent job of standing in for the cold of a real drink and is the closest a pouch gets to the fizz. Cola flavour fades at a middling pace, around 15 to 25 minutes, with Pablo's moist pouch giving the strongest start and the quickest drop.

Helwit Cola at 7mg is the one medium-strength cola worth knowing about, but it drifts in and out of stock, so it is not in the table.

Best cola pouches by strength

Low (up to 6mg). Two tins. Snooze Cola at 4mg is a plain, mild cola. 77 Cola & Vanilla at 5.2mg is creamier and the better of the two. Both sit in the low band and both are fine first tins if cola is what you want.

Medium (6mg to 9mg). XQS Cola Lime at 8mg is the only regular, and Helwit Cola at 7mg when it is in. If you need a plain cola in the medium band, you are out of luck for now.

Strong (9mg to 12mg). 77 Cola Ice at 10.4mg, on its own. It is a good tin, cold and clean, but it is the only cola between 8mg and 16mg.

Extra strong (12mg and up). Everything else. CUBA Cola and Glitch Frozen Cherry Cola at 16mg, Killa Cola and Killa Exclusive Cherry Cola at 16.5mg, Pablo Gold Edition Cola at 17mg, and the two Pablo Exclusive colas at 50mg. The extra strong band is where cola was born and where most of it still lives.

Who cola suits

Cola suits people who want a sweet pouch that is not fruit. It suits heavy users well, because the strong brands own the flavour. And it suits anyone who liked cola vape liquids, which were a cult flavour for the same reason cola pouches are.

It suits mint users poorly. The jump from cool mint to cola is the biggest on the shelf, and most people who try it from mint go back. If you want to test it without committing, Snooze Cola at 4mg or 77 Cola & Vanilla at 5.2mg are cheap experiments.

The split in opinion comes down to expectation. People who try cola expecting a drink hate it. People who try it expecting a sweet tend to keep a tin in rotation. Pablo and Killa both do it well enough that the strength, not the flavour, is usually the problem for newcomers.

Frequently asked questions

Which cola nicotine pouch is best?

Pablo Gold Edition Cola at 17mg for flavour, Killa Cola at 16.5mg for a lighter, sharper version. If you want cherry cola, Killa Exclusive Cherry Cola. If you want something mild, 77 Cola & Vanilla at 5.2mg.

Does a cola pouch contain caffeine?

No. Cola nicotine pouches are flavoured with cola flavouring only. Caffeine pouches are a separate product with no nicotine, and the two are not mixed in anything we stock.

Why do cola pouches get mixed reviews?

Because cola without fizz or cold is a different thing from cola in a glass, and people judge it against the drink. It tastes like a cola sweet. Judged as that, it is good. The second reason is strength: most cola tins are 16mg and up, so a lot of first-time buyers are reacting to the hit, not the taste.

Is there a cola pouch for beginners?

Snooze Cola at 4mg and 77 Cola & Vanilla at 5.2mg. Both are gentle. If you like the flavour and want more, 77 Cola Ice at 10.4mg is the sensible next step before anything from Killa or Pablo.
