A coffee pouch is a latte, not an espresso. The roasted note is there, but it comes wrapped in sweetener and a creamy, slightly chocolatey base. Mocca tins lean further into the chocolate. How coffee pouches are made
The base is tobacco-free: plant fibre, nicotine, water, pH adjusters and sweetener. The coffee is a food-grade flavouring, usually a blend of roasted, caramel and cocoa notes rather than coffee extract, which is why there is no caffeine. No cooling agents are used, since cold and coffee do not pair, which makes coffee pouches noticeably gentler on the gum than a mint of the same strength.
Flavour release follows the pouch. ZYN's dry mini takes a minute to start and holds for 25 to 30 minutes. Clew is moister and quicker. Killa and Pablo are moist and give a strong, sweet first ten minutes before fading, and because there is no cooling to mask it, you notice the fade more.

Best coffee pouches by strength
Low (up to 6mg). Clew Coffee at 5mg and ZYN Coffee Mini Strong at 6mg. Both are good, and ZYN's is the better made of the two. Either is a fine first coffee pouch and both sit in the low band.
Medium (6mg to 9mg). Helwit Mocca at 9mg, when it is in stock. Nothing else. If you need a medium coffee and Helwit is out, the honest advice is to use a ZYN 6mg and accept it is a little light.
Strong (9mg to 12mg). No regular tin. The Clew Coffee 10mg bundle exists as a 20-pack at £40, but there is no single-tin coffee in this band.
Extra strong (12mg and up). Killa Mini Mocca at 16mg, Killa White Coffee at 16.5mg and Pablo Exclusive Mocca at 50mg. Killa White Coffee is the one to start with if you already use the extra strong band. The Pablo is for people who already use 30mg tins and know what they are doing.
Who coffee suits
Coffee suits people who like sweet, warm flavours and find fruit too bright and mint too cold. It suits morning use, because the taste pairs with an actual coffee rather than fighting it. And it suits people with sensitive gums, since there is no menthol, no cooling agent and no citrus acid in the mix.
It suits heavy users through Killa and Pablo, and beginners through ZYN and Clew. It suits nobody in the 7mg to 15mg range particularly well, because the choice is one intermittent Helwit tin.
If what you actually want is the caffeine, a nicotine pouch will not give it to you. Caffeine pouches are a separate, nicotine-free product.
